um...Friday

So I wan't really able to make it through my first week posting every day, but 4 out of 5 ain't bad right? Given that I already missed yesterday, that means I'll be posting every day for the rest of the week!

It's a shame that I didn't have a chance to post on Friday, becuase David and I had a pretty eventful day. It started out with an early supermarket/bagel run during which David decided to take a little nap.

When we got home the real fun started as we had a mini Daddy day care as our friends Andy (with daughter Robyn) and Mike (with son Ethan) came over to play.

No Nap?

Nothing so big to report today. I tried taking a few short videos but nothing really came out well. I guess the biggest thing to report is that apparently sometimes David doesn't nap. This makes it hard for his dad to write posts or do anything else that he had planned to do.

Now I'll know for next time.

Out and About

So this is really from yesterday, but David and I went out today and it was pretty much the same outfit. Because when you have errands to run, taking care of a baby shouldn't stop you. And if it's a little chilly....just put on a jacket.



Later, we had the first official handoff as Nana came over to watch David for a little while until Michelle got home. Can you tell that Nana is excited to be babysitting?

Like Magic

Well...here goes nothing. Day 1 taking care of David and I have to say (at 10:03am) so far so good.

The morning started off a little rocky. David wasn't in the best of moods so although we played with various toys, sang various songs and read various books, he just didn't seem to be happy. In fact, he started screaming at some point and there was very little that I could do to calm him.

Just when I thought I was in big trouble, David fell quietly asleep. He is just waking up now and is ready for his second bottle. Wish me luck....

This is a bit of an experiment. I haven't been so good at blogging lately (or well....ever) but I'm hoping that staying at home with David during the day will provide the proper motivation.

So here is the plan. Every day I'll post something about David. it could be a fun story about a trip to CVS or the library, or it could be a picture or video. You'll have to tune in to find out....
